Pregnancy Symptoms Week By Week – A Blend Of Fear And Joy
Pregnancy brings about drastic changes in a woman's body. Right from the time of conception, the body undergoes many biological processes. The conception takes place two weeks after first day of last period. Initially no symptom is felt. A missed period will indicate you to follow a home pregnancy test that confirms pregnancy. By this time your baby is considered to be about six weeks old. Isn't it interesting to know that by this time its heart begins to beat! The pregnancy symptoms week by week vary a lot. And now starts morning sickness that involves vomiting, nausea and many other discomforts, for most of you. The whole term of pregnancy lasts about 9 months. This duration is divided into three phases or trimesters. Quite a long time it is, right!
First Trimester Or First Three Weeks

It takes six days for your fertilized egg to reach to your uterus and another six days to stick to the uterus lining. And then starts the release of a hormone called human gonadotrophin hormone (HCG) in the blood stream that helps in detection of pregnancy. By this time, along with morning sickness, you experience many other symptoms also. The breasts enlarge and become tender, increased urination, backache, constipation and heartburn. Though most of you won't even realize about pregnancy but once you are aware, you start caring and preparing yourself for the future.
Second Trimester, The Most Interesting Phase
This period brings about tremendous changes in you and you can know more about it with the help of pregnancy symptoms week by week. Your baby gets fully developed and so you start gaining weight. To be able to feed your baby, your breasts grow even bigger. Due to the growing size of the uterus, you might feel heartburn or acidity. Consult your doctor if it really bothers you. The baby makes its presence felt by moving and kicking at times. This time is considered to be the best as you actually feel your baby inside you. The sheer joy of its presence will make you realize you are going to be a proud mother soon!
Third Trimester Or Last Three Weeks
Time has come, when you can actually see your baby moving from outside. The skin of your belly would form such exciting landscapes, you would enjoy watching them. But at the same time, you would be more concerned about your bulging body as it now requires more care and attention then ever. You would find it difficult to move. Don't be upset, this is all natural. One of the main pregnancy symptoms week by week is painless contractions that would prepare you for labor. Don't get scared, time is approaching when you would be able to see your baby and your body would be resume its normal shape soon, as well.
