This period also gives a great sense of responsibility to her, to bring the child safe into this world. This period becomes challenging for the woman, when the doctor terms it 'High Risk Pregnancy'. Women tend to get panic, when they come to know about the higher probability of risks associated to their term, as compared to a normal pregnancy. This is quite natural, isn't it?

What do we mean by High Risk Pregnancy?

A pregnancy that involves complications before or after the delivery that might harm the mother or the baby is known to be High Risk Pregnancy. At such situations, you must ensure that you get extra attention and care, which can remove risk to the maximum level. The pre-term labor generally leads to many problematic results that take toll even on the life of the mother or the child. The children born before 34 weeks gestation period are on higher risk of catching any disease or even death. Therefore, it is always good for the baby to remain naturally in the womb until the normal birth. Many diseases like diabetes, hypertension, asthma, thyroid, or blood pressure are also responsible for making a pregnancy a High Risk Pregnancy.

Bothered about high risks and extra precautions

Your doctor might tell you to do, what you do not wish to follow. For example, you might be told to be on bed rest, which may seem difficult to you. You might find it difficult, as you have certain responsibilities like, looking after your children. As the High Risk Pregnancy requires frequent medical tests, you might find it frustrating. In addition, the intake of comparatively more number of pills might bother you.

Try to cope, as it gives Hope

Despite of being into High Risk Pregnancy, you should not leave hope or get depressed about it. It does not mean that you are incapable, or you and your baby will not be able to lead a normal healthy life. Instead, be positive by trying to take things in your own stride. Be a good manager and always keep a backup option ready for you. Once you come to know that you have to be extra careful, do not get panic about it. Have confidence in you and your God and do your best to live normal. With the help of adequate diet and sound routine habits, you can ensure a normal outcome. Never leave hope under any circumstances and do not stress yourself physically as well as mentally. The stress you feel, is felt equally by the baby in your womb. So relax, be happy, and look forward to a happy end of pregnancy.
