In today's world, the various contraceptive devices and methods are fast becoming popular due to the increasing concern of population control. Birth control is an efficient way to plan to a family and maintain a healthy society. Various hormonal methods and physical devices can be utilized to avoid pregnancy. The excessive dosage of hormones in the pills or improper manufacture of contraceptive devices results in many side-effects which adversely affect the body.
Side effects of birth control
Birth control comes with a number of side-effects and one has to make an informed decision while deciding on the contraception technique to be used. The hormonal alterations made by these pills basically suppress the biological process of ovulation and hence prevent pregnancy. The basic side effects include body aches, nausea sensation and normal weakness. These side effects may be minor in some cases and severe in the others. Many of the pills today are very safe but one must attain awareness about the related problems and issues. Birth control methods are not advised to people with chronic ailments like live tumors, heart diseases, cancer and extreme blood pressure. The irregularities in menstrual cycle and untimely spotting are other major side-effects of these contraceptive methods. Like the early symptoms of pregnancy, even the various birth control supplements result in the swelling of the breast and breast tenderness. The libido count decreases considerably. The physical aspects include loss of appetite and sudden weight gain or loss. Emotional swings become very prominent and anxiety and nervousness become prevalent. The vaginal discharges get altered and there is a high risk of vaginal infections. The cholesterol and blood pressure rise suddenly and the body becomes prone to acne and rashes. There is a drastic decrease in done density and the fluid retention in the body boosts evidently. The immune system may be weakened to a very great extent. The future pregnancy risk increases and hence these contraception methods aren't 100% safe.
Good decision and a good plan
Instead of the assistance of any external agency on can try and adopt natural methods of contraception that do not have higher risk level and even the side-effects are marginalized. The couple should be aware and only mutual understanding can supplement birth control.
