4) Do birth control pills have side effects? : Birth control pills have several side-effects like weight gain, nausea, headaches, depression, vaginal infections and even loss of libido.

5) Can a woman get pregnant despite taking the pill? : Although the birth control pills prevent pregnancy up to 99%, there is a 1% chance that she might become pregnant. Also, missing the pills or using mini-pills would also cause a decrease in the effectiveness of the pill in preventing pregnancy.
