1) What would happen if the individual forgot to take the pill? : If the woman forgets to take two pills then she must take it as soon as possible after she remembers it. Following this, she must take additional birth control measures for the rest of the cycle. Hello, Im 24, married and have been on birth control (ortho tricycline Lo) for 3 years. Recently i've decided to start losing 15-25 pounds via excercise and healthy eating. Does weight loss decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills? I have heard that losing weight changes your metabolism, which in turn may affect the way your body absorbs hormones from the pill. Can you please clarify for me?

Thanks
